    • Goodness — sorry for the late reply. Still learning this website and was just alerted to the comments. Are you looking for a club for a child or an adult?

        • Hi, Joseph – sorry for the very late reply (the comment function on the website is completely hidden! Using a contact us link is always better)! Please e-mail me at cschweiss2@gmail.com for information on how to learn and play as an adult beginner. We have classes and other resources to help you! We have a club that meets in person for adult competition if you are at that level already.

    • Hi, Anna — so sorry for the late reply. We’re still learning this website and were just alerted to the comments. Can you send me an e-mail to cschweiss2@gmail.com? We do offer classes for kids, but we are done with class for the season and completing our championship event series. We have a long wait list but some summer options available. We can get your son on the wait list effective the day you sent this message if you like — e-mail me (Tina).

    • Hi, Jim — I’m so sorry we didn’t see your message. Obviously things are on hold right now, but when the restrictions lift and we are able to return in person, there are a couple of options in our area, including Virginia Beach Chess Club at the TCC Joint Use Library on Thursdays from 4:30-7 and Hampton Roads Chess Club on Tuesdays at Eastminster Presbyterian Church from 7:30-10:00 PM. If you have a Chess.com account, you can joint the HRCC club and play some chess online with our other members in the meantime.

    • Hi, Rebecca — I’m sorry for the delay! Things have been crazy the last couple of months. All of our programs are currently online and will remain that way until we are cleared to return in person. We have a wait list, and we have some other options where you can get started with ChessKid, a private coach (over Zoom), etc. If you e-mail me at cschweiss2@gmail.com, we can proceed to find the best options for your son!
