Hampton Roads Chess Club [HRCC] 
CONGRATS TO HRCC 2024 SPRING CLUB CHAMPION TIMOTHY MCCALL AND AMATEUR CHAMPION JONATHAN YOUNG!!
We have casual chess, USCF rated tournament chess, and occasional other activities.
Our club is open to advanced youth players and adults of varying abilities.
Note: This club is not designed for beginner/rookie youth players. Please see our class offerings and HRSCC program for other options

We meet on Tuesdays from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Registration is from 7:00 to 7:30.
Note that children from HRSCC may still be on site until 7:15.
Tournament games start promptly at 7:30 PM. Please arrive early if you need to register on site and check in with Robbie.
The Connection Point is available for casual play for those not participating in the tournament events.
Club end time depends on the event being run — average around 9:30 PM.
The club is free to HRCA members to attend for casual play. Visitors are welcomed to check us out for free. Regular players will be required to join HRCA, which is just $25/year.

The tournaments have low entry fees, and many have prizes. Almost all our tournaments require USCF membership.
The club has many sets, boards, and clocks. It is not necessary to bring your own equipment unless you prefer your personal set and clock.
Need a US Chess Membership to play rated? HRCA staff can assist with processing those.
