HRCA has partnered with ChessKid.com for many years. We are a huge fan of their site and their curriculum! ChessKid is 100% safe for kids and provides high quality training videos and tests designed by Masters for kids. Kids can solve puzzles, play live games against other kids or battle the bots, watch videos, read articles, complete positional workouts, and more! HRCA kids who have gone on to compete at advanced levels were all ChessKid-obsessed when they were younger, and we know the time they spent on the site studying and practicing contributed to their success!
Through our affiliation with ChessKid, we are able to offer both members and non-members some great savings on their accounts!
Do you already have a ChessKid account?
IF YOU ARE A CURRENTLY ENROLLED MEMBER OF HRCA:
ALL students enrolled in core HRCA youth programs (Hampton Roads Scholastic Chess Club, Guppies, Seahorses, Minnows, PSCC Learn to Play, and Girls Club) receive ChessKid Gold accounts as part of their tuition and fees.
ALL students enrolled in HRCA-coached school chess programs also receive ChessKid Gold accounts as part of their tuition and fees.
These accounts are active from the start of your program to September 1st of the following year, regardless of if your program ends earlier.
Students enrolled in COMMUNITY programs (e.g. rec centers, libraries) that do NOT come with HRCA membership do NOT receive ChessKid Gold as part of their tuition and fees.
